Many kids have been berry picking with their parents during the summer so when they
discover berries in their own yard ripe for the picking, that is just what they will do.
Remember to teach your children not to pick any berries unless they have the permission of
an adult before they pick and taste. It is important to know the types of berries in your yard so that in the event of an
exposure, time does not have to be spent on identifying the berry.
