The Connecticut
Poison Control Center provides emergency poison information to members of the public whose
loved ones are exposed to toxic substances, and to the health care professionals who care
for them. Most exposures involve children under 5
years of age, but adults can be poisoned, too.
We charge no fees for our
emergency services, and we are available to all citizens of Connecticut 24 hours a day,
365 days a year.
No one who calls the Connecticut Poison Control Center for emergency
poison information is ever turned away!
We also provide educational
materials and programs to prevent future toxic exposures, and perform research to improve
the detection and treatment of victims of toxic exposures.
We are grateful to our many
supporters whose contributions help us continue to provide the highest quality care for
victims of poisoning, professional and public educational services and research support.
Some examples of how your
gift could help:
$5 helps us provide 15 Poison
Information Packets to the public.
$25 pays for an emergency
poison exposure consultation.
$50 pays for our toll-free
telephone lines for half a day.
$100 provides in-service
training to nurses or paramedics.
All gifts are
tax-deductible to the extent provided by law. You may also designate a gift in honor
or in memory of another. Your gift in any amount
may be sent payable to:
